"Run, Punzel!" is an escape-room video game developed by a team of three students for a Game Design course in the 5th semester. The game puts players in the role of Rapunzel, who must escape a tower by solving various puzzles. Some puzzles require players to crack codes, while others involve gathering resources in their inventory and interacting with objects and the environment. The game was developed using Unity, with custom C# scripts handling the gameplay mechanics and logic. It combines creative level design, problem-solving challenges, and engaging visuals to create an immersive escape-room experience.

My Contribution

In this project, I played a dual role as both Asset Designer and Gameplay Programmer. Initially, I collaborated on selecting free Unity assets and customizing them to fit the game’s aesthetic. I then created the in-game environment, building and assembling the room where Rapunzel is trapped. In addition, I took on a significant portion of the game's programming, developing key features such as the countdown timer, start and end screens, and implementing logic for various in-game puzzles. My teammates handled the character illustrations and provided support in coding the overall game structure.
